Melbourne group Teeth & Tongue have released their new single ‘Unfamiliar Skirts’ from their upcoming album Tambourine.

Melbourne group Teeth & Tongue have released their new single ‘Unfamiliar Skirts’ from their upcoming album Tambourine.

The trio consisting of Jess Cornelius, long-time collaborator Marc Regueiro-McKelvie (guitar) and Damian Sullivan (bass) released their debut album Monobasic in 2008 and are set to release their second album Tambourine in April.

‘Unfamiliar Skirts’ was written and recorded in one evening when Jess was house-sitting for Dan Kelly and was allowed to make use of his home studio. What was intended as a demo became one Teeth & Tongue’s main recordings for their album.

Following the release of Monobasic, Teeth & Tongue were chosen as a triple j Next Crop Artists in 2009, and were performed at the Falls and Laneway festivals. They have since supported bands on tours in both Australia and Europe.

Tambourine will be released in late April via Dot Dash, but you can already preview the new single ‘Unfamiliar Skirts’ here.
