Tamara Murphy and The Golden Tone Retrievers is the new project led by bassist, Tamara Murphy. As a bassist she is well-known, performing with the likes of Kate Miller-Heidke, Ali McGregor, Frente!, Harry Angus, Nat Bartsch and Paul Grabowsky amongst many others. She now steps from the back of the stage to the front, to sing and lead this stellar new band.
Their first single Drift Away was released in July with a buzz, appearing on playlists, shared by musicians online and touted as one of the Top Tracks on PBS.
On August 29, they launch their second single Brian at the Cactus Room in on High Street, Thornbury, with support sets from Brian Campeau and Imogen Cygler.
