TAC’s Make a Film Make a Difference competition has chosen two short films this year to promote road safety.

The competition runs annually and this year received 590 entries for the "Party In The Car" theme. Twenty-four year old Laurie Walker made The Party Planner which takes a very literal approach to the theme. It involves a woman running through a checklist of potential distractions in a car.

Twenty-five year old Chris Busuttil created What’s On Your Mind? which depicts the dangers of social media in terms of driving.

Both films show remarkable maturity as young adults and talent as filmmakers. They are the two of the 17 films that have been produced for TAC over the eight years that the competition has been running.

Both Laurie and Chris’s films will be screened across Victoria at the Big Day out, Falls Festival, Meredith Music Festival and also in local cinemas.
