International highlights include Indian singer-songwriter and Diplo collaborator Rashmeet Kaur, rising US electronic artist Vandelux, and Indonesian rapper-producer duo Tenxi & Jemsii, pioneers of the Hipdut sound with viral anthem Garam & Madu. Filipino neo-soul artist August Wahh and New York psych-garage rock band The Thing add further global flavour to the expanding lineup.

The music conference component features powerhouse speakers including Bryan Duquette from Outsidelands/Another Planet Entertainment, James Cheney from Reservoir, and Rachel So from Goldenvoice, the team behind Coachella and Stagecoach. Conference sessions explore AI’s impact on music, superfan engagement strategies, and breaking into global markets.

Head of Music Claire Collins describes the breadth of talent as speaking to SXSW Sydney’s growing role as a truly global meeting point where careers are launched and collaborations take shape. The festival has become a place where respected talent buyers and industry leaders gather to discover new artists and conduct business.

These announcements join an already substantial lineup, with organisers promising more additions before the October event. Early booking is encouraged as ticket prices increase after 3 July, reflecting the festival’s growing popularity and international recognition within the music industry.
