British cool girl Suki Waterhouse is set to light up Melbourne's RISING festival this winter.
After conquering runways, landing hits and navigating heartbreaks, the model-turned-musician will bring her ethereal sound to Melbourne for an Australian exclusive. Waterhouse will showcase her new album Memoirs of a Sparklemuffin with her full band, delivering a performance that promises to embrace her public persona while expanding her musical repertoire beyond the Americana vibes of her debut.
The RISING performance will feature a genre-spanning set encompassing late-90s alt rock, Mazzy Star-style dream pop, 70s soft rock and folk jams – all delivered with Waterhouse’s signature heartfelt wit and drenched in reverb.

RISING describes Waterhouse’s new sound as one that “sparkles like a spider and deepens mystique,” noting that her performance will be “like she’s floating on an enchanted lake, surrounded by fireflies, sipping kombucha. Sighing at the tabloid fodder. Ready to rock the lily pad.”
The PICA show on Saturday is one of two Melbourne performances, following an intimate show at the Athenaeum the night before on Friday 6 June. Tickets for the PICA performance range from $116 to $129, with RISING subscriber presales beginning Friday at 10am and general tickets going on sale Monday 17 March at 10am.
For fans of Waterhouse’s unique blend of ethereal pop and indie sensibilities, this rare Australian appearance offers the perfect opportunity to experience her evolution as a musician firsthand.
Waterhouse’s Melbourne appearances come as part of the broader RISING festival, which runs from 4-15 June 2025 and features other notable international acts including Japanese Breakfast (Thursday 5 June) and Black Star (Wednesday 11 June).
The musician has been steadily building her musical credentials alongside her modelling and acting career, embracing the “model, actress, whatever” image with self-awareness and artistic purpose. Her new album and performances represent a knowing nod to growing up in the public eye while establishing herself as a serious musical talent with a distinct artistic vision.
