Strummingbird 2026 announces a stacked lineup led by Post Malone

Words by staff writer

Strummingbird has locked in its 2026 lineup, and Post Malone is sitting right at the top of it.

Australia’s largest touring country festival returns across three regional stops this October, with Bailey Zimmerman, Cooper Alan, Stella Lefty and Dexter & The Moonrocks filling out the upper tiers of a loaded bill. Strummingbird 2026 lands at Victoria Park in Ballarat, Newcastle Foreshore and Kawana Sports Precinct on the Sunshine Coast, presented by Kicks Entertainment.

Malone’s return marks his first Australian appearances since his sold-out Spilt Milk run three years ago. His Nashville-influenced record F-1 Trillion earned a Grammy nomination for best country album and featured collaborations with Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson and Strummingbird alumnus Jelly Roll. Multi-platinum artist Bailey Zimmerman joins off the back of his second album Different Night Same Rodeo, while North Carolina’s Cooper Alan rounds out the top line with his genre-crossing live show.

Further down the bill, homegrown favourite Brad Cox needs no introduction, while Cam — a songwriter behind tracks on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter — adds her folk-country crossover appeal. Cigarettes @ Sunset bring their self-styled Possum Rock, an Appalachian-inflected take on Americana. Kaitlin Butts and Noah Rinker contribute their respective takes on theatrical storytelling and intimate acoustic songwriting, and Sydney’s Sons of the East arrive carrying 750 million streams worldwide.

The lineup runs deeper still. Countrytown Breakthrough Artist of the Year nominee Briana Dinsdale, Central Queensland’s Mack Geiger and back-to-back CMAA Female Artist of the Year Max Jackson all feature. Sara Berki and country DJ Willie Pake round out the national acts, with each stop also welcoming a local artist: Lewis Love at Ballarat, Gamilaraay artist Loren Ryan at Newcastle and Sammy White on the Sunshine Coast. Maddison Glover returns to lead line dancing between sets at all three dates.

Camping at the Ballarat and Sunshine Coast stops, along with buses from Melbourne to Ballarat, go on sale later in May. Strummingbird is an all-ages event.
