After taking a fourteen-month hiatus following allegations of racist and violent behaviour against frontman Dylan Frost, well-loathed Australian act Sticky Fingers have announced an ‘exclusive’ tour and dropped a new single, Kick On.
The tour will take them across the world, playing only one show in Australia at Sydney’s Luna Park on Saturday June 2.
After hamfisting their way through an interview with Tom Tilley on Hack last night (in which they managed to use the phrase “boys will be boys” without a hint of irony in regards to their behaviour), their new track ‘Kick On’ sits somewhere between an Oasis rip-off and a petty apology.
Here’s what punters had to say about that interview.
Sticky Fingers – “Boys will be boys” is a toxic mentality. “Da boyz” is not an excuse to be violent, sexist or a predator. Having a daughter has opened my eyes to the sad culture of “yeah the boys” and I can only hope I raise her to not accept this as an excuse. #stickyfingers

Dylan from Sticky Fingers is on @triplejHack, supposedly giving an apology for all the controversy in the band, and in his second answer he shrugged it off as “boys will be boys” and “shit happens”. What a copout and super disappointing response to some really serious claims
