A St Kilda dancefloor is getting a glow-up, and it comes with a very late finish. Details below.
St Kilda is getting a new place to lose track of time, with Club Casa opening on 5 December.
Club Casa is the work of Sean Rault, who founded the venue in collaboration with Ashby Projects. The team has spent recent months working out of public view on the building at 29 Fitzroy St, St Kilda, which has been renovated and given a few cosmetic changes along the way. Lighting has been upgraded too.
The promoters have framed the launch as a housewarming of sorts, with the space reimagined in time for the warmer months and sunset views part of the pitch.

Inside, Club Casa has two rooms of house-driven music, with house, minimal house and tech house all on the program.
To get the sound right, the venue has installed a brand new $300,000 sound system. It also holds a late-night licence that runs through to 7am, so the weekly sessions can stretch well into the morning.
The idea, according to the team, is to bring the kind of dancefloors usually found in cities overseas a little closer to Melbourne.
