Applications are now open for musicians, performers, traders, charities and community groups to take part in the 2016 St Kilda Festival.
The New Music stage is back once more, offering the nation’s best emerging talent a great chance to kick-start their career. Ten bands will be chosen to play, with the crowd favourite winning $5,000 and a main stage slot in 2017. The stage has previously hosted bands such as Client Liaison, Stonefield and The Vaudeville Smash.
Bands and musicians can also apply for the Live N Local events – a jam-packed week of entertainment with a variety of musicians playing at local venues and locations. The hugely popular program offers local musicians from all genres a chance to join in a week of festivities celebrating live music. In order to be eligible to apply, at least one of the members must live, work or study in the City of Port Phillip.
