Delete Google Maps, this is all you need now.

It’s no secret that Melburnians love a drink. We’ll take just about any excuse we can get to get the gang together, down a few pints of VB and have a night on the town.

For the uninitiated, there are almost too many options. Whether you’re on the hunt for a place to play poker or pool, a spot to catch some live music or even a secret hidden bar, there’s always somewhere – you just need to know where to look.

Luckily for us, some champ has put together a comprehensive map of all of the bars and pubs in Melbourne’s inner north (as well as a few in the inner east for good measure). Reddit user Admaps has designed the map in the iconic style of the 1973 Vignelli New York subway system.

Featuring over 400 (400!) local waterholes in their respective suburbs, it’s pretty damn thorough. It covers from Essendon to Preston all the way down to the top edge of the city, then runs from North Melbourne to Burnley, with all the main drags coloured in for easy reading.

It practically begs to be used for a ton of neighbourhood-specific pub crawls, or one really massive one if you’re feeling crazy.

Map megafans can even buy a small on-the-go paper copy with matching coasters or a frameable print to hang on the wall so they always know where to find the next drink.
