Part ritual and part performance, Wedhus Gembel will illustrate the tensions of social change within Indonesia as it grapples between contemporary Indonesian and traditional Indonesian.
Prior to the performance, Snuff Puppets, six Indonesian artists and 20 local artists will host a Pre-Production Workshop in Footscray, allowing attendees to participate in creating new puppet productions created by them and the artists.
