SLAM are calling on live music lovers to pledge as little as $10 to help meet their goals and in return receive the first in a series downloads, featuring Lee Renaldo (Sonic Youth) and Tim Rogers (You Am I). Dedicated fans should jump in quickly to pledge for the 7” vinyl pressing.
There will also be one-on-one mentoring with legends such as Gareth Liddiard (The Drones), Steve Kilbey (The Church), Richard Lloyd (Television), a year’s worth of gig tickets with the “On the Door” package and VIP show and after party passes with Tame Impala and Something for Kate.
Kate Miller-Heidke, Dan Sultan and Marieke Hardy will also host the one-off ‘Dream Dinners’ around the country. More rewards include VIP Festival passes will be added to the platform in the coming weeks. SLAM need to raise $10,000 per state per year to reach future sustainability and deliver National SLAM Day. Funds raised will go towards paying bills and out of pocket expenses including: artwork, web building, project managing, publicists time, photography, policy writing, bus fare, coffee, printing, distribution, legal fees, bookkeeping, printer ink, postage etc.
