A little over a month ago, the first ever Corner Award was revealed as a way of saying thanks and giving something back to the industry.
Sixty artists in total were selected by a panel of experts from different facets of the music industry and after much deliberation, discussion and debate; the pool was narrowed down to six.
Up for this year’s Corner Award is Gold Class, Gordi, KUČKA, Ngaiire, Sampa The Great and Slum Sociable.
The winner will receive a headline show at the Corner along with a pressing of limited 7″ vinyl, a cash cheque for $2,000, rehearsal time at Bakehouse Studios and mentorship with an Australian record label.
