Book your ticket now for Reader’s Feast: Writers at the Convent, to see a huge lineup of guests including Shaun Micallef, Michael Leunig, Barrie Cassidy, Andy Griffiths and Bettina Arnd talk about everything from religion and UFOs to sport, sex and politics.

Some people say that you shouldn’t discuss sex, religion or politics at the dinner table.

Well, that may be the case, but they are all up for discussion at next month’s Reader’s Feast: Writers at the Convent. Add to that mix humour, sport, philosophy, UFOs and some great fiction and you have a weekend of thought provoking and entertaining discussions.

The festival celebrates its fourth birthday in 2011, and it is celebrating in style with a huge lineup of guests getting ready to teach you, talk to you, confide in you and humour you.

Shaun Micallef will be there to talk to you about everything from sport to UFOs to sex and politics, and joining him are legendary cartoonist Michael Leunig, Barrie Cassidy, Andy Griffiths, sex therapist Bettina Arnd and US Journalist and author Daniel Akst who will be discussing his latest book We Have Met The Enemy – Self Control in an Age of Excess.

With the continuing flood crisis,  Chris Hammer and Kirsten Otto will focus on the Murray-Darling basin and our own Yarra. Also joining the conversation will be Stephanie Dowrick who will speak on religion and spirituality, and many more big names bringing their own slant to the discussion.

Reader’s Feast: Writers at the Convent is a unique event and will have something for everyone.

It’s at the Abbotsford Convent, 1 St Heliers St Abbotsford on February 11, 12 and 13. Tickets are only $17 and can be booked now here. For the full program and more info visit writersattheconvent.com.
