Screen Music Awards announces 2018 nominees

Nominees for the 2018 Screen Music Awards, in conjunction with APRA AMCOS and AGSC, have been announced, celebrating music compositions for documentaries, children’s television, advertising, documentaries, feature films and television and film soundtrack albums. 

Spearheading the nominees is Matteo Zingales with six nominations in total, followed closely by Antony Partos with five. The musical partnership of Zingales and Partos nabbed four nominations together for Best Music for a Mini-Series or Telemovie for Wake in Fright and Mystery Road along with Feature Film Score of the Year and Best Soundtrack Album for HBO film Fahrenheit 451

Composer Caitlin Yeo is close on the tails, scoring four nominations including Best Music for a  Mini-Series or Telemovie for The House with Annabel Crabb, Best Music for a Short Film for Barbara and Best Soundtrack Album and Feature Film Score of the Year for The Butterfly Tree. Amongst the huge slate of nominees, you’ll also find Christopher Gordon, Richard Pleasance, Dale Cornelius, Rafael May, Sean Tinnion, Justine Clarke, Emily Wurramara, Jackson Milas, Ben Lam, Oscar Joe Gross, David Cheshire and Jojo Rainwater.
