Astrodeath will be launching into the Old Bar, Medusa Bar and The Eastern locally.

Since 2019, sci-fi stoner metalheads Astrodeath have solidified themselves as one of Australia’s most interesting and revered heavy bands with their sludge-grunge grips and ground-covering touring.

Hailing from Cadigal Lad in the Eora Nation, otherwise known as Sydney, singer/guitarist Tim Lancken and drummer Yoshi Hausler will be heading on an Intergalactic Ripstation tour, landing in twelve towns on Australia’s East Coast this coming July and August.

Presented by Beats Cartel and Young MGMT, the tour kicks off on the Gold Coast, working its way down to Victoria for back to back pitstops at Geelong’s Medusa Bar, The Eastern in Ballarat, Melbourne’s Old Bar and Little Lucy’s in Sunbury from Thursday 18 through 21 July. Yo-yoing back up the East Coast, the tour will finish its mission in Wollongong.

This mega quest follows on from the bands national album tour for last years release Vol. II, which ripped through singles ‘Invasion’ ‘Leviathan Rising’ and ‘Ceremonial Blood’, and their supporting tour with UK stoner heavyweights Orange Goblin. They’ve also been in the sidecar for shows with Suicidal Tendencies, 1000mods, Nick Oliveri and King Parrot. Additionally, the duo have been dragging audiences out to see them all over Australia for events like Thrashville, Blacken, Flippin’ the Bird, Mojo Burning, Froth and Fury Festival and Aftermath.

Before they jet over to Europe in 2025, where they have just been signed to leading boutique stoner label Heavy Psych Sounds, and then the US where they are under the Tone Deaf Touring branch, the Australian Intergalactic Ripstation Tour will be unmissable. Along for the ride are Melbourne metaller’s Spacejunk.

Of the upcoming shows Astrodeath say, “we’re coming back around again and we’re bringing our new buddies Spacejunk along for the ride. We know the cost of living is stupid right now, so we’ve made a decision to make these shows as cheap as we possibly can. We’re playing a lot of regional towns and a lot of smaller venues on this run so get your tickets early.”

They encourage, “we want to sincerely thank the fans who continually support the local scene. We see you, if not for you we would not be able to do tours like these. Please keep it up. Keep going to see all the gigs and keep supporting your local scenes because they need you right now. We’ll see you on the road, we’ll see you in the pit. Full rip! Don’t be strangers! Massive love!”
