Samara Cyn adds Melbourne headline show to her Spilt Milk run

Words by staff writer

Billboard's 2026 Hip-Hop Rising Star Samara Cyn is bringing The Detour to The Night Cat this December.

Samara Cyn lands in Melbourne this December for a headline show at The Night Cat plus a Spilt Milk slot.

The Murfreesboro-born, Los Angeles-based rapper has moved fast. Named Billboard’s 2026 Hip-Hop Rising Star in September, Samara Cyn has banked more than 90 million streams since writing her first song in 2019, and pulled co-signs from Tyler, The Creator, SZA, J. Cole, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Nas and Denzel Washington along the way.

  • The Night Cat, Melbourne – 17 December

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around Melbourne here.

Stage time with Nas, Smino and Clipse, a talked-about Camp Flog Gnaw set and three EPs in The Drive Home, Backroads and this year’s Detour have built a reputation as one of rap’s most-hyped young lyricists. She’s also collected a Grulke Prize at SXSW, an XXL Freshman Class spot, a March 2026 NME cover and brand campaigns with Nike, Kia, Ganni and ESPN.

Tickets for the headline dates go on general sale 8 October at 2pm local time. A Live Nation presale opens a day earlier, from 1pm on 7 October, running until allocations are gone.

Anyone who misses The Night Cat gets another crack locally, with Samara Cyn on the Spilt Milk bill in Geelong on 19 December. Her festival run also stops in Canberra, the Gold Coast and Perth.

She’s already sold out her debut North American headline tour and packed rooms in London, Amsterdam, Paris and Cologne, so the Melbourne allocation won’t sit around waiting.
