Since its launch, Rdio has worked with indie labels to promote local talent and delivers holistic support campaigns for Australian releases, tours and festivals. “We are extremely pleased to welcome Rdio on board as a Major Partner for the 2014 Carlton Dry Independent Awards,” commented Joanna Cameron, Communications Manager for the Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR) which organizes the awards. “It is fantastic to have Rdio support AIR in our objectives of promoting the interests and development of Australian independent musicians, labels and music companies.”
Violent Soho lead the nominations with four mentions followed by Sia, Chet Faker and RÜFÜS with three and Courtney Barnett with two.
Nominated acts Sheppard, Remi, DMA’s, SAFIA and Meg Mac are among those performing on the night.
