The venue, formerly Noise Bar, recently underwent a major refurbishment with a new PA, lighting and video system for the bandroom.
However, it appears that the dream was shortlived, with the owner pulling the plug on live music. While exact reasons currently remain unclear, almost all upcoming gigs that were booked have now been cancelled.
Updated: “After making a big investment in sound and lights and fixing the venue up the owners are working out the direction to take the whole hotel forward,” stated Neil Wedd, booker of the venue. “Yes there has been some cancellations this weekend but the hotel will be hosting two record launches next weekend.”
