In the spirit of giving, Queens of the Stone Age have released a Christmas single for charity — and fans were quick to jump on it.

The seven-inch vinyl was available for pre-order, with the grand release set for Friday December 14. However, within the first day of announcing the single, the record sold out. The A-side brings a (hopefully rock) rendition of ‘Silent Night’, featuring Aussie blues legend CW Stoneking. On the flipside, a reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas’ by frontman Joshua Homme and his family.

Funds raised from the tracks will go to Homme’s nonprofit, the Sweet Stuff Foundation, in addition to Australia’s Support Act. Both organisations support musicians struggling with illnesses.

While the physical version may be sold out, never fear: the digital single is still available to pre-order, and will be released Friday December 7. It’s definitely not the same as holding it in your hot little hands, though.
