Define your genre in five words or less:
Sexy, acoustic, eargasm-rock.
So, someone is walking past as you guys are playing, they then go get a beer and tell
their friend about you… what do they say?
“Wow those guys could use some singing lessons and one of them kept burping. But with songs like Blue Balls and The Platypusary, let’s all go buy their EP!”
Name an interview question you wish someone would ask you, and answer it.
“Hey do you guys have any songs about camel toe?” Yes.
Tell us about the last song you wrote.
Dave just wrote a song entitled I’m Grower, Not A Show-Er. It’s for all those guys who are caught with their pants down and judged before they grow to their full potential. He claims to be writing it about a “friend”.
When, and why did you start writing music?
We started playing covers about a year ago. We were offered a gig but told we had to play originals. We said “No problem, we can do that”, then thought “Shit we need to write some originals”. Dave had this song that he’d been working on for a little while about how much he hates fake-hippies, that moistened the creative palette for all Baberaham Lincoln songs to come.
What’s the strangest place you’ve ever played a gig, or made a recording?
Whilst ‘on tour’ in South America at the start of the year, we spoke a lot about recording an EP when we got home. Then we stumbled upon a recording studio in Colombia that was literally next door to our hostel and thought “por que no?” So we smashed out six songs in one hectic day. And Dave smashed their guitar.
When are you playing live/releasing your album/EP/single/etc?
Well funny you should ask. We’re launching our debut EP Near Enough Is Good Enough at Revolver, Prahran on Thursday November 22.
Which band would you most like to have a battle/showdown with?
U2 – because Bono is shit.
