Melbourne’s longest running all-ages music festival is returning in 2011 with an amazing lineup of talented Australian artists

Victoria’s longest-running all-ages live music festival Push Over is returning to Abbotsford Convent in Melbourne next year with a killer lineup of upcoming Aussie talent, the freshest young Victorian acts, some of the country’s most fast and furious hardcore and metal bands, and a full arena of bouncing hip hop music and break dance!

It’s all happening on Sunday March 13 over the Labour Day Long Weekend, and the artists who will be firing thriller beats across four sound stages include Melbourne’s own rockers Children Collide, along with Anchors, Break Even (Perth), Deez Nuts, Dream On Dreamer, House Vs Hurricane, Howl (Ballarat), I Exist (Canberra), Illy, Last Dinosaurs (Brisbane), Metals, Oh Mercy, 1/6 feat. MzRizk, Owl Eyes, Stonefield (Gisbourne), The Red Shore, The Storm Picturesque (Newcastle), The Tongue (Sydney), Trainwreck, and many more to be announced!

As well as featuring all your fave new and upcoming Aussie bands, Push Over is showcasing the freshest young Victorian talent in the FReeZA Push Start Battle of the Bands Grand Final, with nine bands from across the state battling it out to be crowned the 2010-11 Series Winner.

These artists are Amber Lamps, Blackwater Riff, Cass Ward, Emerson, Kyrano, Passport For Amy, People of the Sun, The Fire Alive and more.

Proudly presented by not-for-profit youth music organisation The Push, triple j and FasterLouder, Push Over is a fully supervised all-ages alcohol, drug and smoke-free event.

It’s open to 8-12-year-olds with an adult guardian, or anyone over 12 without.

Pre-sale for tickets is on Monday December 20 for $30 +bf, and they can be bought from any Ticketek, Moshtix or Oztix outlet.

The Abbotsford Convent is at 1 St. Heliers St Abbotsford, and there will be a free shuttle bus to the festival from Victoria Park Station.
