Brisbane booze-punk party lords Goon on the Rocks have announced two shows in Melbourne in support of their new single Back to the Valley. The legends will be playing The Reverence Hotel on Friday October 28 with Blind Man Death Stare and Glen and the Peanut Butter Men and will also be making an appearing at the Outta Nowhere Fest on Saturday October 29, featuring the likes of Cosmic Kahuna, Gladstone, and Bombs are Falling.
Philadelphia punks Sheer Mag have announced their debut Australian tour this December. In addition to appearing at Meredith Music Festival on Saturday December 10, Sheer Mag will headline their own show the next night at The Tote with locals Tyrannamen and Miss Destiny.
Melbourne hardcore outfit The Patient have announced pre-orders for the release of their debut album Unite as One, due out Friday October 14. In the lead up the band has released a video for the lead single Loyalty. Pre-orders are available now via The Patient’s Bandcamp page.
New York City “crack rock steady” ska punks Choking Victim have announced reunion shows this November across the US. While no talk of an Australian tour has been seen, sister band Leftover Crack toured our shores last year. Choking Victim was originally active from 1992-1999, breaking up after the release of their sole landmark album No Gods, No Managers before evolving into the similarly styled Leftover Crack.
Toronto noise-rock punks Greys have announced the release of a companion album to this year’s already released LP Outer Heaven. Entitled Warm Shadow, the album is available now as a pay-as-you-feel download from the band’s Bandcamp page, with all profits going to Sistering, a “trans-inclusive agency supporting women from across Toronto who experience firsthand the impact of marginalization and poverty”
Long running post hardcore alt metallers Helmet have announced the upcoming release of their first album in six years. Entitled Dead to the World, the record is slated for release on Friday October 29 through Ear Music
