The John Curtin Hotel will be hosting some great Aussie bands this weekend for A Day on the Grid. Interstate acts Horror My Friend and Super Best Friends will join local favourites The Sinking Teeth, From Oslo and heaps more. It kicks off this Saturday September 17 at 5pm for only 15 clams.

The UK’s finest mathcore / post hardcore / experimental outfit, Rolo Tomassi, are set to hit The Bendigo’s stage tomorrow night. Having recently released their latest effort, Grievances, the band will be blowing minds in Melbourne again. Support comes from Melbourne post hardcore outfit, Belle Haven, Sundr, Disasters & No Haven.

Move out of the way Anthony Callea, Wet Pensioner are now the new sweethearts of Werribee. The Wet’s have played with some great acts this year; going on the road with The Bennies and whippin’ the crowd into a frenzy at Leftover Crack to name a couple. Their new single and video clip has just been released and apparently is best listened to after a nang.

Melbourne lads POWER will be playing a USA send off show at The Tote this Friday September 16 with the amazing Miss Destiny and Cuntz. Tickets are $10 and there will be no guest lists or pre sales.

Thrash pioneers DRI have announced an Australian tour and will be heading to Melbourne on Sunday February 12. But Wait There’s More was released in 2016 – their first EP in 15 years.

If you haven’t been to a free Brunny punk show then you’re missing out, but also doing your liver a lot of favours. Wolfpack & The Fuckups are headlining The Brunswick Hotel this Saturday September 17 from 8.30pm.  Joining the genre mixed bill are Youth Faction, Road Rash, Wing Attack Plan (backwards) R & Sick Minds.

The Misfits have been getting amazing reviews from their Riot Fest performance in Denver a couple of weeks ago and there’s already rumours of an Aussie tour with a Danzig fronted Misfits. Hopefully Jerry and Glenn can get along enough to make their way out here.

After waiting 6 long years, US Hardcore legends Helmet have finally released an album. Dead To The World will be out on Friday October 28 through EarMusic. Hopefully an Australian tour is on the cards.
