Smooth and rugged like a well-worn saddle indie stalwarts PHOEBE’S DREAM are road testing new songs and playing songs from their back catalogue in a rare live appearance. A new album is slated for a 2024 release. Siblings John Smarty (guitar and bass) and Phil Smarty (guitar and vocals) are the core members of the band.
Also playing are new indie Melbourne band TRANSIENT BLUE (Moris, John and Ollie Smarty and Archie) on their debut gig and packing a punch that is sure to make a sonic impact.
Opening the night is Ollie and John Smarty with acoustic versions of songs from The Smiths/Morrissey, Wilco, Lana del Rey, David Byrne, The Cure and others. This is their debut gig.
