The Open mic at the Taproom is where Nature in the City’s Australian journey started. On the stage for the first time on this side of the planet, the seed was planted: this is a great place for a concert. Now the time has come. Nature in the City has since grown to a 4-piece band featuring violin, drums and bass.
Hosted by one of Castlemaine’s greatest venue for discovering excellent new music, the quartet will play a lot of upbeat original music with sizeable room for improvisation.
Nature in the City is a folk-rock band based around the voice, guitar and songwriting of Robin Sellin born in Germany, now living in Naarm/Melbourne. What started out one year ago as a duo soon turned into a full band infused with some serious Melbourne vibes with violin, drums, and bass. Nature in the City invites the listener on a sonic journey rife with improvisation and with no two sets ever the same.
