With 25 runs, seven lifts, a toboggan park with magic carpet lift and 10kms of cross country ski tracks, Mt Baw Baw is opening its winter season to the public from mid-June. Just two hours from Melbourne, the mountain is the perfect choice for a day trip, a weekend getaway, or perhaps an even longer break.

They’re launching a brand new intensive program in 2022, consisting of a three and four day snowboard and ski lessons for kids on weekends. The lesson plans include lift passes and certificates and are the perfect place to leave kids to hone their skiing or snowboarding prowess while you explore the mountain.
If snow sports isn’t really your thing or you’re looking for something to do on a day off the slopes, there’s plenty more to do that’s not just skiing and snowboarding. Mt Baw Baw hosts an alpine dingo walk and cuddle experience, where you can explore the resorts trails with dingoes Rowdy, Warragul and Bunji, all the while learning about other endangered locals such as the Baw Baw Frog and Leadbeater Possum.

On September 17, The Great Toboggan Race is coming to Mt Baw Baw – an event that gives anyone the opportunity to claim National Plastic Toboggan champion. Christmas in July will see a Santa appearances, carolling at each lodge and a free Christmas-themed photo booth.
With parking in the village, all over snow transport for those who want their luggage dropped right to their door and transfers available from the city or local stations, Mt Baw Baw might be the perfect place for you or your family this winter season.
