I’m usually pretty impervious when it comes to sentimentality regarding getting nostalgic about the soundtrack to my formative years, but even just seeing the name Okkervil River on the promo disc initiated a bout of wistful pangs. I haven’t thought about the band in a while but they’re just as I remembered them. I think. It Was My Season is a jaunty breakup number, its lyrics engaging but not overly profound.
