Mark your calendars, pack the van and head out to Charlton for one of Victoria's most unique and treasured boutique music festivals.
In a move that’ll have music lovers reaching for their Melways and marking a path to Victoria’s northwest, OK Charlton has unveiled a ripper lineup for its next edition in the beloved Mallee township.
Headlining the boutique festival are Melbourne’s own art-punk provocateurs Tropical Fuck Storm, bringing their characteristically chaotic energy to the rural setting. The supergroup, featuring The Drones’ alumni Gareth Liddiard and Fiona Kitschin alongside Lauren Hammel and Erica Dunn, tops a bill that reads like a who’s who of Australia’s underground music scene.

In a coup for nostalgic indie rock fans, Sydney duo The Mess Hall are making a rare appearance, promising to transform the country town into a blues-rock pressure cooker. The pairing of Jed Kurzel and Cec Condon earned their stripes through blistering live shows in the 2000s, and their inclusion suggests OK Charlton isn’t mucking about.
Adding to the sonic mayhem, Sydney’s Party Dozen will bring their saxophone-and-percussion assault to the proceedings. The experimental duo of Kirsty Tickle and Jonathan Boulet have been turning heads since 2017 with their intense live performances.
The lineup runs deep with emerging talent, including Split System, Milo Eastwood, and Eleanor Jawurlngali, alongside Antenna, Sex Mask, Placement, Final Final, The Weed & Friends, The Clams and Yordja.
Beyond the music, punters can expect a properly wholesome country weekend, with activities ranging from barefoot bowling to karaoke, pool sessions and CWA scones. Festival organisers are encouraging those without tickets to join the Tixel waitlist, as some may become available closer to the event.
Accommodation can be booked through the festival’s new website, with organisers hinting at more announcements to come.
