Norah’s recordings of Silent Night and It Came Upon A Midnight Clear are a thinly disguised excuse to tinkle at the piano looking pretty. She looks fabulous, but the songs are tedious as shit. Those looking to soundtrack upcoming holiday parties might want to consider the Phil Spector Christmas album, the Motown Christmas album, Sufjan Stevens’ Songs For Christmas or, for a whimsical and hilarious change of pace, We Wish You A Metal Xmas And A Headbanging New Year.
