Sydney four-piece Nantes combine twinkling synth sounds with heavy, heady pop vocals on Drones. The refrain is simple but a little nonsensical (“Maybe we will know how long it takes for us to grow”) which makes the song good but not great. The rumbling round of la-la-las that round out the tune will win a few hearts.
