Mykaela Jay will play six shows in the space of two weeks to celebrate her forthcoming single.
On the back of announcing her new single, ‘Warrior’, Lismore-based musician Mykaela Jay is making her way south for her first-ever Melbourne tour.
Kicking off the tour on April 15 with back-to-back shows performing alongside comedy group Neurological Misfires for Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Jay will officially launch ‘Warrior’ with a full band show at The Workers Club on April 17.
She’ll be backing it up with a second full band show at Colour Club on April 20, along with a handful of intimate solo shows across her two-week Melbourne run.

“It’s such an honour to be playing such a diverse range of shows. Each show is so unique in and of itself, from big band concerts to house gigs and duos. I’m extremely excited to be playing some of my favourite venues, and bringing my band to Melbourne,” says Jay of the tour.
“The band shows are a bit of an opportunity for me and some old friends to reunite, so I know that they will be full of electric energy and a great opportunity to dance and sing along. The solo shows are more of an opportunity to share, connect, laugh and be together in a more intimate environment,” she says.
‘Warrior’ marks the third and final sneak peek at Jay’s forthcoming debut album Mother Dearest before its release in July and stands as her most poignant track to date.
Dropping on April 17, it follows her recent releases, ‘A Dog’s Way Home’ and ‘Purple Flowers’.
