It’s a format built for someone who thrives on the long haul. Eastwood has spent the last eight years behind the mic at PBS FM (106.7FM), where his Friday morning sessions have become a ritual for Melbourne listeners looking to ease into the weekend. Known for unpredictable, eclectic track selection, the extended Night Cat residency should give him plenty of room to stretch out.

Outside of the breakfast studio, Eastwood has built a reputation on some of the country’s best stages. He’s played Meredith, Golden Plains, Loch Hart, NYE On The Hill, Inner Varnika and Panama, and has recently appeared at both the Australian Open and the Australian Grand Prix.

The Night Cat is well-worn ground for the DJ too. He’s hosted multiple sold-out events at the Fitzroy institution, and his annual BY THE LAKE series at Coburg Lake Reserve has grown into one of the city’s favourite community music gatherings, drawing his largest headline crowd to date with a handpicked lineup of local acts and DJs.

Over the years, he’s shared bills with an impressive roster of international names including Hot Chip, Nightmares on Wax, Cut Copy, CC:DISCO!, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, Horse Meat Disco, Maribou State and Magdalena Bay.

Pre-sale tickets are $39.90 including booking fee and go live 24 March, with general on-sale from 25 March.
