Dance rock meets chart pop in Melbourne’s Midi Widow. With a guitarist, a drummer and a DJ, and a vocal melody that sounds like Petshop Boys (if we’re being generous) or Metro Station (if we’re being realistic), the band has a polished and danceable sound. It’s glossy and soulless, but highly commercial, so Good Advice Is Fatal should find an audience.
