New-wave outfit Methyl Ethel are hitting the road for a national tour to celebrate the release of their brand new album Triage, released today. It’s set the be the Perth-based act’s biggest tour to date, kicking off in mid-June.
Their latest record is an adventurous collection of new-wave psyche-pop that cements Methyl Ethel as one of the frontrunners of the Aussie indie scene. Prior to Triage, Methyl Ethel’s sophomore album, Everything is Forgotten, gave the world ‘Ubu’, which earned itself the number four spot on Triple J’s Hottest 100 charts in 2017. Their Aussie circuit comes hot off the heels of a globetrotting tour through the UK, the US and Europe.
