Dragonforce have revealed the local supports for their Australian tour. In Melbourne you can catch Teramaze, led by guitar god and super nice dude Dean Wells, at 170 Russell on Wednesday June 21.
The Italian masters of dark musical extremity, Fleshgod Apocalypse, will make their long-awaited return to Australia for a headline tour this June. Since forming in 2007, the band have released four albums, relentlessly toured the globe, and amassed a legion of loyal followers. Their most recent album, King (2016) is being hailed as one of the essential metal albums of the last decade. See them on Saturday June 3 at Max Watt’s with Hybrid Nightmares, Earth Rot and Hollow World.
Now celebrating the 25th year since the release of their debut album, Paradise Lost finally return to Australia. Superstar drummers Virgil Donati (Steve Vai, Alan Holdsworth, Planet X) and Thomas Lang (Paul Gilbert/stOrk) will headline the DW TV Show tour in June. The DW TV Show marks the first-ever time these two technical titans have performed on stage together. You can see them at the Union House Theater, Melbourne University on Thursday June 1.
Australian metal veterans Frankenbok return with a triumphant new album. Vicious, Lawless, on Friday July 14 (my birthday, woo). Setting the tone for the release is the track Stalker Stalker which has lyrics based around the personal experiences of the bands guitarist Azza Bok. The band have brought those lyrics to life in shocking fashion via a full sledgehammer to the face that is the Stalker Stalker music video. The band are hitting the road with their friends Dreadnaught and Superheist for a run of dates around the country, including the Croxton Bandroom on Friday June 16.
