Melbourne’s Robotgirl To Dance With Madonna

As part of celebrations to herald the arrival of Hard Candy Fitness to Sydney, a competition was held to find skillful dancers with spark to go to Canada to dance with La Ciccone. The prospects had to go through the ‘Addicted To Sweat’ routine which is offered at the fitness centres.

Judges include choreographer Chantel Curmi who tours with Jessica Mauboy and Ricki Lee and is on the current Beyonce’s film clip; Justice Crew’s Samson Smith who recently toured with Ke$ha and Pitbull; and one-time X-Factor finalist Joelle Hadjia.

Robotgirl (aka Arna Singleton) heads this Sunday with Hard Candy Sydney’s lead ATS (‘Addicted To Sweat’) teacher, Alissa Hall to Toronto. They will train and practice with winners from all over the world all day on the day prior to the red carpet event. This is also the first time that the dance class with Madonna has been open to the public.

“I can’t believe I was chosen!” Robotgirl exclaimed. “Madonna is my idol and I have been a fan since the age of five.  This is seriously a dream come true for me and I am thrilled.”

Robotgirl has choreographed music videos (Honey Singh’s Bring Me Back), appeared in them (Polo Club’s Shouldn’t Let Him Out, CC Martini’s Double Dutch) appeared in ads (Fame – the Ultimate High School Musical, Lipton Tea), TV shows as Australia’s Got Talent and events as Big Day Out. She also represented Australia at the ‘Body Rock’ competition in San Diego in 2009. She’s also runs the hip hop Our Backyard at the Arts Centre for six years, urban dance crew competition Step Off! for nine years, and the Push It! Hip Hop Arena at the Push Over festival for nine years.
