Flyying Colours Sign To UK And US labels

The first label is London-based Club AC30 for UK/Europe. It is home of one of their all-time faves Ringo Deathstarr, and is part of the nightclub of the same name.

The second label, covering the United States, is California-based Shelflife  which is home to Ocean Blue, Thieves Like Us, When Nalda Became Punk, Goodly Thousands, The Radio Dept. and Burning Hearts.

The two labels discovered Flyying Colours online, through their self-titled debut EP, released last October on their own Flyying Colours Records and distributed through Universal. The band sent their video to taste-making blogs, on which they were discovered by a number of labels. Eventually it was the buzz bands on their rosters which saw them choose Club AC30 and Shelflife over the others.

The Flyying Colours EP will be released in March on coloured vinyl versions. The track Wavy Gravy is being played on BBC6 and the video premiered on the UK’s clashmusic.com.

The band’s manager Martin Brown told Beat that plans are for the band to cut a second EP. Depending on funding, their debut international tour will take place in about six months.
