The first program that will be run at the inventive new cinema will be RONE — the first episode telling the visual stories of high profile artists around the world with a particular focus on Melbourne’s own internationally acclaimed artist Rone, whose work finds the friction point between beauty and decay.

The collection will also showcase VR works Intermission, Wall to Wall and Feast Your Eyes.

The launch and screening night will run on March 2 from 6pm until 9pm and entry will be free. There will also be screenings running all Saturday and Sunday to make the most of the one-off screening event outside of regular programming. Tickets for the weekend will be $14 and are selling fast.

The Virtual Reality Cinema is a unique approach that has been developed for seamless viewing of VR Content across all the gear VR headsets which enables all participants to experience VR together and see each other.
