After stints as a theatre director, playwright, dramaturg and programmer, Holloway has been the Artistic Director of the Perth International Arts Festival since 2012. Before working in Perth, UK-born Holloway was the Artistic Director and Chief Executive of the Norfolk & Norwich Festival.
Melbourne Festival CEO Katie McLeish was enthusiastic about the new appointment, stating, “I can’t wait to work with such an experienced and enthusiastic festival expert and director. Jonathan has a wicket wit, is very team focused and displays an uncanny ability to interpret the city in which he finds himself in with meaning and creativity.”
