Jacques Greene + Banofee + Planète
The official MMW closing night party is set to go off with a bang with an incredible lineup that features Canadian electronic-dance artist Jacques Greene and local hip-hop maker Banofee. Jacques Greene has had quite the career, most notably featuring on Radiohead’s The King Of Limbs remix album. The show will also include a mixture of local and international electronic acts who will keep the party going strong until morning.

See Melbourne’s famous Tattersall’s Lane transformed into one of the largest block parties ever with ZOO. The alternative closing night party combines live music, performance, and visual art across two iconic venues, Ferdydukes and Section 8. Definitely don’t miss Indigenous rapper Briggs’ set, and stick around for a few surprise guests.
Barney McAll: Non Compliance Electric + Albrecht La’Brooy
In the next best unlikely combo since chocolate and vegemite, the sounds of jazz and electronica will combine for one night only at St Paul’s Cathedral. Let those sweet church acoustics fill your ears with award-winning jazz music of Barney McAll (performing with his trio Non Compliance) and the deep-house vibes of Albrecht La’Brooy. With a slew of electronic acts and a special DJ set, this one’s going to be special.
Melbourne Drone Orchestra: Yidaki
Proudly boasting the title of “Melbourne’s loudest collective”, the Melbourne Drone Orchestra are back to blast their sounds through the MPavillion, with a unique take on one of the world’s oldest instruments: the yidaki (an early type of didgeridoo). Comprised of 18 guitar players who create a droning sound (no motorised aerial equipment is involved), the Melbourne Drone Orchestra will alter your senses and bend your brain in this innovative show.
