Since their inception in 2014, Future Popes have been delivering a selection of killer international acts to Australian audiences including The Courtneys, Chastity Belt, Screaming Females, Cable Ties and more.
With natural progression and a whole lot of hard work, Amanda Vitartas of Future Popes, Grace Kindellan of Wet Lips and Jenny McKechnie of Cable Ties and Wet Lips will be combining in partnership to release slices of some of the finest cuts from the Melbourne underground.
The label will thrive on an ethos of diversity, going far beyond releasing records and aiming to engage on a community level. Capping it off, their first signing are Melbourne punks Shrimpwitch who will be releasing their debut EP through Hysterical Records in May.
