Watching Arcade Fire at Big Day Out, a friend joked that we should start making a living penning Arcade Fire-esque “woah-oh” anthems and rake in mad synch dollars. Except it’s not really a joke because Of Monsters Of Men have been doing it for a little while now, I guess. Lurch & Chief cut straight to the chase and open Mother / Father with that sweet “woah-oh” action. Maybe a bit edgy to soundtrack an insurance commercial, but who knows these days. I think I’ve said this before about Lurch & Chief, but the Carey Mercer-like vocals are pretty brilliant.
