If you thought Ausmusic Month couldn’t get any louder, think again. LIV LOUD is taking over your favourite venues this November.
This year’s edition of Ausmusic Month is gearing up to be the loudest and liveliest November yet. Thanks to Carlton & United Breweries (CUB), LIV LOUD is shining a much-needed spotlight into every corner, nook and cranny of Australia as they turn the volume up loud and fill the dance floors to the brim.
LIV LOUD is the newest initiative to help inject some noise back into Australia’s local venues and artists. With a focus on 40 beloved pubs and clubs across the country, LIV LOUD is providing cash grants to help revitalise music communities by hosting artists at their venues. Not just any artists, either. With a lineup to make your eyes water, there’s everyone from local legends to Aussie icons, rising rockers to soon-to-be stars.

If the onslaught of Aussie music festival cancellations over the last year has gotten you down, Ausmusic Month is out here to prove that the party is nowhere near over.
By offering support to a range of local venues across the country, the focus this month is on injecting a sense of steadfast optimism into the grassroots and community networks that make up the foundations of our country’s vibrant live music scene.
The festivities have already begun, with Ausmusic Month kicking off with a handful of gigs, mini-festivals, parties and trivia nights across the first week. There are plenty of shows to check out – no matter where across the country you find yourself – and something for everyone on the lineup.
A lineup for the ages

A bunch of the events on offer are even free, meaning that you can save some dollars on tickets and spend them up at the bar.
LIV LOUD is all in the name of supporting local venues, so take that as an excuse to purchase as many pints as you can. (And maybe chuck in a parma while you’re at it.)
While there are some massive names headlining the month of events – with The Rubens, The Rions and Salmonella Dub Sound System being just some of the golden gets on the program – there’s also a truckload of up-and-coming acts that are sure to steal the show.

Not sure where to start? Charlie Needs Braces at Melbourne’s The Toff on Thursday November 14 is a must-see for a masterclass in songwriting. Dogworld at Northcote’s Northcote Social Club on Wednesday November 20 will be a punk-rock experience like you’ve never had before. The Trucker Hat Appreciation Society Honky Tonk Hoedown at Mudgeeraba’s Wallaby Hotel on Sunday November 24 will no doubt be a party for the history books.
If you’re on the fence about what events to hit up, there’s really no choosing wrong. Check out an artist you’ve never heard of. Head to a pub you didn’t know existed. Above all, go get amongst the sonic celebrations of local community spirit.
