Legendary tributes and golden age jazz take over Memo Music Hall this July

If you’re looking to escape the cold this month, Memo Music Hall offers the perfect excuse.

Not only is the venue cosy and welcoming with its red velvet drapes and impressive showroom, but it’s also got a wonderful roster of performances, community events and even a big blues guitar bash coming up.

Memo Music Hall welcomes three amazing female songstresses to the stage.  Bringing together Freya Josephine Hollick vintage-infused dark country, Allison Ferrier’s Nashville-inspired bops and Ange Boxall’s Tasmanian-made country fold, this will be a night of brilliant voices and enchanting storytelling in the Ember Lounge.

Phil Manning Band ft. Warren Morgan

This Melbourne-exclusive show sees Warren Morgan and Phil Manning team up for a very special night. Both wildly talented prolific songwriters as well as founding members of the Aussie blues band CHAiN, they’ll be joining forces once again to take listeners on a journey through their past works as part of bands including Aztecs, JPY, Allstars, Pilgrimage and more.

Internationally beloved and extremely influential, Steely Dan is not only a cult-classic band but also an important part of music history. This show sees Sydney 1970s rockers The Kites taking on the band’s 1971 album Aja. “For this event, we’ve put together a 9-piece band and we can’t wait to put it on stage,” says singer Peter O’Regan.

Blues Guitar Roadshow

The Blues Guitar Roadshow is bringing screaming solos, groovy slides and intricate finger picking to the stage for this All Star Jam. Talent includes Lloyd Spiegel, Geoff Achison, Wilbur Wilde, Andrea Marr, John McNamara (The McNamara Project) Kerri Simpson, Riding Northbound, Phil Ceberano, Lisa Baird, Justin Yap, Simon Kinny-Lewis and more.

Known as the Ukulele Queen of the Bellarine, multi-instrumentalist Sarah Carroll is bringing her wealth of talent to Memo Music Hall, backed up by guitarists Shannon Bourne and Leigh Ivin as well as her sons, Fenn Wilson and George Carroll Wilson (aka Pollyman). She’ll be performing songs from her sixth and most recent album, NQR&B.
