Models bring their innovative electronic rock approach to the tour, having been described as one of Melbourne’s most imaginative bands since their formation. The group’s album The Pleasure Of Your Company featured in The 100 Best Australian Albums, cementing their place in Australian music history.
The group’s producer offered early career advice that proved prophetic: stay together and you can do anything you want. Boom Crash Opera took these words to heart, building a catalogue of hits that includes Dancing In The Storm, Onion Skin and Great Wall. Their blend of rock, pop and alternative elements has seen them tour consistently throughout Australia, maintaining a loyal fanbase that spans generations.
Models carved their own path in Australian music history through their innovative approach to electronic rock. The Melbourne outfit deliberately followed what critics described as a perverse and disjointed course, setting them apart from their contemporaries. This unconventional approach yielded albums like The Pleasure Of Your Company, which earned recognition as one of Australia’s finest recordings and showcased their ability to blend synthesisers with traditional rock instrumentation.
