This year’s festival will once again be covering the city with a wave of music and events, taking over numerous venues. Some old favourites and locals, and others new additions to the action including Glamorama and legendary queer alternative bookstore Hares and Hyenas.

Highlights include a night of contemporary music from Sarah Curro (semi-acoustic violin) Stephen Newton (double bass), Affinity Collective (classical ensemble), Xani Kolac (electric violin/vocals) and William Elm (synthesiser/accordion), a night of projection art, performance and partying featuring Mikey J White, Six Inches Uncut, and more – as well as the fourth installment of SÉDÄ, offering a free collaborative event for musicians to share their finely crafted sounds.

Elsewhere, Blokes You Can Trust will screen at The Tote – tracking the adventures of seminal group Cosmic Psychos. Polyester Records and Northside Records will be hosting in-store appearances, while Fee B Squared’s Class of 2018 will bring together Loose Tooth, Shrimpwitch and Hi-Tec Emotions.

Melbourne favourites Jazz Party will be keeping Melbourne warm with a special ‘Springtime in July’ party, as well as the return of of Tram Sessions, a grooving high tea hosted by MzRizk, a mini-festival from Aarght Records and Ali Bird with RVG, Power, Drug Sweat, and heaps more.
