Laura Imbruglia’s new single is a mixture of country and doowop, sung in a pretty ordinary voice over tinny, Wurlitzer-sounding keys and bouncing R&B guitars. The lyrics are goofy and grating; light-hearted romantic guff about getting “love in your eyes” and then something being “no surprise”. On the positive side, Laura is made up us Teen Wolf for the promo shot which is cute in any language.
