Underground electronic producer LÂLKA is set to release a deluxe version of her latest opus, Willfire, on December 4 via Tomboi Records.
Drawing inspiration from the Chinese philosophical concept of “Zhì” (志), representing personal will and aspiration, Willfire is a bold exploration of the fiery determination that fuels LÂLKA’s creativity. Acclaimed singles Yves Klein and Yuh have already created significant buzz ahead of the release, solidifying LÂLKA as a standout voice in the electronic music scene.
The Willfire Deluxe EP arrives on 4 December 2024, featuring two brand-new tracks, Centre of the Universe and Joy, alongside six remixes from rising producers who reimagine the project’s sound.

Yves Klein is an exceptional production
From the moment the track begins, it’s clear LÂLKA has a flair for the dramatic. The production and corresponding video provide an intense, audio-visual spectacle that immerses listeners into her carefully crafted world. The bold choice of Yves Klein as a reference not only nods to a cool, niche intelligentsia but also mirrors the track’s emotional depth.
Trap, a genre that can often feel overwhelming in its maximalism, is here wielded with a master’s touch. LÂLKA demonstrates remarkable restraint, allowing each element to shine without overshadowing the others. The track’s bass-heavy drops are executed with centimetre-perfect precision, creating a tension that keeps the listener engaged while avoiding excess.
“This is what future club music sounds like” – LÂLKA
Willfire: A deep dive into creativity and culture
Willfire combines club-ready beats with introspective and culturally rich narratives. Inspired by the concept of Zhì Huǒ, or “the fire of will,” LÂLKA channels this energy into an EP that resonates with raw emotion and technical expertise.
“Zhì Huǒ symbolizes the fiery passion and determination that fuels my creativity,” explains LÂLKA. “It represents the energy that propels dancers on the dance floor, igniting their spirit and losing them in the music.”

LÂLKA juxtaposes vibrant social energy with melancholia, crafting a unique sonic experience with bass-heavy trap and ethereal synths. The single’s AI-generated visualizer, co-created with fan submissions, introduces Willfire’s alternate reality game (ARG) for an immersive fan experience.
- Yuh: A powerful fusion of trap and traditional Chinese sounds, Yuh confronts societal views on women’s anger, redefining it as a valid and empowering emotion.
