Koorie Krismas is bringing dancers, comedy, music and more to Fed Square next month

Words by Staff Writer

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why…Koorie Klaus is coming to Narrm.

Celebrate this special time of the year in a free, fun-filled day for the whole family; with live music, comedy and dance performances, hosted by Kimmie Lovegrove.  Buy from local First Peoples artists and creators and even make your own gift at the gum leaf painting workshop. Finally, Koorie Klaus brings all the magic together with a special appearance on the day.

Stay up to date with what’s happening in and around Melbourne here.

Performances include: Djirri Djirri Dancers; comedians Corey Saylor Brunskill, Aden Hitchins and Janty Blair; musical duo Phil and Trudy Edgeley; drag artist Cerulean; First Nations Calisthenics Club; musical duo Kristal West, the acclaimed Dave Arden Band, and The Merindas.

For even the most difficult to buy for, our Krismas market will have options aplenty, with stall holders including:  Amber Days, Cameron Benson, Clothing the Gaps, Haus of Dizzy, Kevin Williams Art Gallery, Marbeangrook Designs, Kinya Lerrk Pty Ltd, Art by Bronwyn David, Tigsaet, Blak Queens, Emma Stenhouse Art, by MHJ, Deadly Wears, Morgan’s art & such, Chic n Co Design, Woven Culture Jazzyskye Designs, Gardening on Country, Janet Galpin, Luruk-In, Yarn Strong Sista, Karroongcraft, Patsy Doolan, Eric Brown.

We acknowledge the generous support of the City of Melbourne, Fed Square and our programming partners Viva Energy Australia, Krystyna Campbell-Pretty and Family and The Orloff Family Charitable Trust.

Presented by the Koorie Heritage Trust, Koorie Krismas, Saturday 2 December 2023, 10am – 3pm. Free. www.koorieheritagetrust.com.au
